I tested the best budget cameras to find The best ones but I realized a good Budget camera is very specialized each Camera has unique features for a Specific type of shooter and figuring Out which camera is right for you can be Pretty confusing so in this video we're Looking at the best budget cameras to Help you find your perfect camera also I'll leave links down below for all the Cameras we talk about today now the First camera on this list is in the Sweet spot for most budget and beginner Shooters and it comes at a great price While still covering all the major Features you need in a good camera and That is the Canon R50 the R50 has a 24 Megapix APS C size sensor which is the Sweet spot for resolution and sensor Size in my opinion it gives you plenty Of detail to crop in and zoom into your Image but by having a smaller APS C size Sensor you also manage to keep your cost For your camera much lower and it also Has an updated processor that gives you A whole bunch of new features that you Don't normally see in a budget camera Including really good lowl performance And an incredible aib based autofocusing System that does a tremendous job at Tracking subjects because it can Intelligently recognize if it's looking At people animals or Vehicles plus it Also has digital stabilization for Ultra
Smooth handheld video and it can shoot Photos at a ridiculous speed of 15 to 12 Frames per second which is fast enough For any kind of fast moving action and It can take photos between 28 to 42 Jpegs in a row before this camera needs A break which is plenty of photos if You're shooting action however the one Down side is is that it can only shoot Seven Raw photos in a row however you Won't really need raw unless you're Planning on doing some heavy editing With your photos in which case this may Not be the right camera for you and I do Have something for you later in this List but video is where the R50 really Impresses me and why I think most people Should consider buying this as a budget Video camera it shoots 4K at 24 and 30 Frames per second but that 4K video is Actually down sample from 6K which means Your 4K video really has the detail and Clarity of 6 6K which is a lot more than 4K and it also lets you shoot in hdrp Q Mode which gives you a little bit more Dynamic range but also 10 bit color Which is perfect for someone that wants To take their video and edit the colors Later on plus it has slow motion in full HD at 60 frames per second for 2 times Slow motion and 120 frames per second For five times slow motion now Design-wise the R50 is a really small And compact camera perfect for someone
Who wants to use it for traveling or Just an everyday carry camera the bun Layout and menus are super simple it's a Really camera just pick up and get great Results with and on top of that it also Has something known as intelligent auto Mode where you tell the camera how much Brightness contrast what kind of colors You want and the camera figures out all The complex settings for you taking all The guesswork out of getting great Photos and the R50 also has a side Articulating screen that has touch Control so you can change all of your Major settings just using the touch Screen like a smartphone and it also has Touch autofocus making autofocusing Super simple and it also has a really High quality electronic viewfinder that Photographers will really appreciate Sadly there is one downside is that the Battery in the R50 is pretty small now That's pretty typical for a budget Camera but you will want to make sure You have one or two spare batteries on Hand but if you want spare batteries It's pretty easy to get a two pack on Amazon for as little as$ 20 to $30 vr50 Pretty much gives you everything you Need at a great price and I'm really Impressed by how powerful this camera is Considering it's only a beginner and Casual camera and another camera that I Really like for beginner and budget
Shooters who specifically want to Vlog And make videos is the Sony zv E10 and It does a few things that the Canon R50 Does not the first thing you notice About the Sony zv1 is that it has a Really unique body type and that's Because who this camera was designed for It has a really simple button layout With just one button to switch between Photos videos and slow motion and There's no messy mode dial with two Separate record butts for photos and Videos and it also has a three capsule Microphone built right into the camera That gives you almost almost the same Quality as an external microphone saving You money and also keeping your camera Much smaller if you're planning on Vlogging with it but one thing to know About the Sony zv1 is that it does not Have an electronic viewfinder which some Photographers may not like but the zv1 Is still a very very good photo camera It does however still have a side Articulating screen while the side Articulating screen doesn't have the Full touch controls that you see on the Canon R50 but the zv1 still has touch Autofocus inside the zv1 you have a Pretty standard 24 megapixel apsc size Sensor which is pretty similar to the Canon R50 however because it's a Sony Sensor it does have some additional Benefits for example it has really good
Low light performance even better than The Canon R50 and you can easily shoot As high as 10,000 even 20,000 ISO with Very little grain in your photos and Because it's a Sony camera it also has Tremendous autofocus now it's not a i Based autofocus but the autofocus is Ultra reliable and really good at Tracking moving subject matter in terms Of photos it shoots at 11 frames per Second but it can actually actually Shoot 116 jpegs in a row or 46 Raw Photos which is incredibly impressive Considering the Canon R50 only does Seven Raw photos in a row so if you're Someone that's planning on shooting a Lot of Raw photos and heavily editing Your images the zv1 is a much better Camera for you than the Canon R50 and Video is just as impressive it shoots 4K At 24 and 30 frames per second and the Video in this camera is also down Sampled from 6K so you have 6K Clarity And Detail in your 4K video and it also Shoots full HD at 60 frames per second For two times slow motion and 120 frames Per second for five times slow motion in Terms of video specs the R50 and the zv1 Are pretty much on par however there's One thing that the zv1 does that the R50 Does not do and it makes the zv1 a much Much better camera the zv1 also has log Profiles built into it so if you're Someone that really wants to create a
Cinematic look and really do some Serious color rating with your video the Zv1 is a much better fit but one thing To note is that the zv1 only has 8 bit Color but if you know how to grade you Can still get a great image from this Camera and standard video from the zv1 In my opinion looks beautiful and it Also has digital stabilization and Camera so you can get really smooth Handheld video and Vlogs but once again It does have pretty small batteries but It's pretty easy to pick up a spare set On Amazon for only $ 20 to $30 the zv1 Has a really unique design that's going To make it much easier to shoot online Content especially for vloggers and the Photo and video quality is really solid The zv1 is a camera that I recommend Everyone look at if you're thinking of Buying a budget camera for both photos And video now some of you guys might be On an ultra budget you want a simple Camera that's going to take great Looking photos with pretty decent video Quality and you probably just want to Replace your cell phone or an older Cheap camera you have for you guys I Have the camera that I think does this The best right now and that is the Canon R100 it has a 24 mapix apsc size sensor Which is pretty much the same sensor in The Canon R50 50 but with a different Processor it still has really decent
Autofocus although without the fancy AI Tracking in photo mode this autofocus Performs really reliably and it still Does a really good job at tracking Moving subject and in terms of photo and Video quality it's still pretty much the Same thing with a few minor differences That I'll explain the Canon r100 can Shoot photos at 6.5 frames per second Which is an ideal speed for someone Who's a casual shooter just taking Everyday photos or maybe you're on Vacation and you just want a lifestyle Camera however one really cool thing About the100 is that it can actually Take a th jpegs in a row so you can Shoot for a really long time and then go Back in later and pick the exact shot You want and it can also take up to six Raw photos in a row which is pretty much The same as the much more expensive Canon R50 video wise the Canon r100 Shoots 4K video at 24 and 30 frames per Second however this is regular standard 4K video and it is not down sampled from 6K like the Canon R50 does and it also Shoots full HD at 6 frames per second And 120 frames per second and let's be Honest slow motion looks awesome and you Always always always want slow motion in A casual camera but the Canon R 100 only Shoots an 8 bit color which should be Just fine for casual users because you Guys are probably not planning on
Editing your video colors anyways but The reason I love the Canon R1 10000 as A budget camera is that it comes in a Really small and compact body even Smaller than the Canon R50 but you get The same menu and Bun layout as the much More expensive Canon R50 so you still Get that same Canon experience or Something very close to it for less than Half the price and it also comes with a Pretty decent kit lens that is pretty Much everything a casual shooter needs For a starter camera and yes you can Connect your camera directly to your Phone via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to Directly transfer your photos and videos From your camera to your phone however The one downside of the r100 is that the Screen on the back is fixed and it does Not have touch controls which is kind of Disappointing to see because that's Something most of us expect on a modern Camera I think they're just trying to Keep the price down but I really wish They would make a slightly more Expensive version with a better screen The Canon r100 is an amazing deal for Your money and perhaps the best bang for Your buck it's going to give you a Camera that's as affordable as possible While still giving you great photos and Videos and if you want to make sure you Get the best possible deal on your Canon R1 100 make sure to check out the links
